Kayaking Tour of Kailua Bay with Lunch
Kayak around the islands of Kailua Bay on a guided or self-guided tour. During this half-day eco-adventure, paddle out to Popoia Island (Flat Island) or the Mokulua Islands to enjoy stunning island views from the water. Snorkel with green sea turtles at Lanikai and visit bird sanctuaries before enjoying a relaxing lunch on the beach. This small-group tour includes round-trip transportation from select Waikiki hotels, all kayaking and snorkeling equipment and lunch.
What to expect
Following pickup at your Waikiki hotel, board a transfer vehicle for the ride to the Kailua Bay kayak shop. Meet your guide and the shop’s competent staff, who outfit you with all the equipment required for your comfort. Listen to a safety briefing and some basic kayaking instruction before setting off on your eco-adventure. Make your choice of a self-guided or small-group guided tour when checking out.
When your time in the kayak is over, return to the shop to use their facilities before boarding your vehicle for the return to your Waikiki hotel. All tours include a deli lunch (see the sample menu in the Itinerary section).

After lunch, you’ll have access to boogie boards, snorkeling gear, and shower facilities.
What to expect
First head to the shop where you will meet your guide and gear up. Then head out to the beautiful islands to start your kayaking adventure. On the Islands enjoy the view of Kailua and Lanikai.
Self Guided Kayaking Discovery in Kailua

Full day Tandem Kayak Rental to visit Mokulua Islands
Skip the hurried excursions, slow down, and experience Hawaii like a local with a full-day kayak rental from Kailua Beach. Having use of the kayak for the whole day gives you plenty of time to explore nearshore Islands and secluded beaches. You can even get far way from the crowds by paddling out to the Mokulua Islands or Popoia Island to explore their empty beaches and coves.
What to expect
After checking in at your leisure any time after 8:00 AM, you’ll receive paddling instruction, and a Safety briefing with map so you’ll know where to paddle safely. Then you are off on a day of adventure exploring areas away from the crowd. Rental includes kayak, paddles, PFDs, instructions and a day of fun you’ll long remember! Rental period runs from 8:00 AM to 4:30PM, but if you prefer to sleep in, you can check in later, and/or return from your rental earlier. We also offer optional snorkeling gear, lunch, etc., so you can have the most satisfying adventure of your lifetime!!
Kailua Beach Self-Guided Kayak Adventure to the Mokulua Islands
If you’ve got an interest in kayaking but would prefer to take to the waters on your own, this package might be for you. Save the hassle of arranging kayak rentals and transportation; to secluded off-shore islands with this adventure, everything will be taken care of, including transportation from Waikiki, equipment, and even lunch.
What to expect
Your first stop of the day will be at our store in town Kailua. Here you will sign your safety waivers, receive your lunch, dry bag and snorkel gear and be given a safety briefing by our knowledgeable staff and shown a satellite overview of the area you will be kayaking in. From here, we will proceed over to Kailua Beach Park and from this area you will get a first glimpse of your destination, the beautiful island of Moku Nui. This is also where you will return to at the end of your day before coming back to our shop. You will pass by Lanikai Beach on your way to and from the island of Moku Nui. This world-famous beach is known for it’s soft white sand and abundance of marine life in its waters. While passing this beach, be sure to keep an eye out for sea turtles that like to graze among the local corals. A 45 min. to 1 hr. scenic paddle takes you to the Seabird Sanctuary that is the Mokulua Islands. Frequently visited by Sea Turtles and Hawaiian Monk Seals, the island offers an unparalleled, unique snorkeling or kayak surfing experience! There you’ll go cliff jumping and snorkeling and then go for a short walk and enjoy a soak in the Queens Bath Tide Pools.
